Terms of use and disclaimer

Is exposure to China three risks or one?, Strature Briefs · Country Outlook · No. 003, Edition 1.0, 30 September 2026. Published by Strature Geopolitical Prospects & Strategy Inc., Toronto, Ontario ("Strature", "we"). These terms apply to this brief, every summary and extract of it, and every file, chart, register and audio version supplied with it (together, the "Brief"). By requesting, obtaining, downloading or using the Brief, whether or not a fee is charged, you (the "Purchaser") accept these terms on behalf of yourself and your organisation.

1. General research, not advice. The Brief is general research and commentary on public events, policy and markets. It is published for general circulation, as an issue of a regular series, and the same edition is supplied to every Purchaser. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting, regulatory or other professional advice. It is not tailored to the objectives, financial situation, constraints or needs of any person. It does not recommend buying, selling or holding any security, loan or other investment, and it is not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell anything. Strature is not registered as an adviser or dealer under any securities law, and nothing in the Brief is given in any such capacity. "Options to consider" are analytical illustrations of what investors of a given type might weigh; they are not instructions.

2. Your own judgment and advisers. You are solely responsible for every decision you make, and for obtaining your own independent professional advice, including from a registered adviser and from legal and tax counsel, before acting on, or refraining from acting on, anything in the Brief.

3. No reliance. You agree that you do not rely, and will not rely, on the Brief, or on any statement by Strature, its principal or its personnel, as the basis for any investment, lending, bidding or other decision. The Brief is one input among many that you will independently assess.

4. No warranty. The Brief is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strature gives no warranty, representation or condition of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, currency, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. In particular, we do not warrant that any estimate, probability, scenario, figure or forecast is correct or will occur.

5. Forward-looking statements and estimates. The Brief contains forward-looking statements, including probabilities, scenarios, returns, costs and dates. They are our estimates, based on assumptions and on evidence available to 30 September 2026. They are subject to risks and uncertainties that may make actual outcomes differ materially. Every probability is our estimate, scored when it resolves; it is not a promise. We have no duty to update the Brief, except that we score each printed probability when it resolves. Past results, including our track record, do not indicate future results.

6. Third-party data "as is". The Brief uses information published by governments, companies, regulators and others. We restate it in our own words and credit it. We do not control or fully verify third-party information, and it is provided "as is". Licence notices for open-government and statistical data appear in the Brief and apply as stated. Naming a government, Nation, fund, company, person or project does not mean that it endorsed, sponsored, reviewed or approved the Brief.

7. AI-assisted production. The Brief was researched, drafted and checked with the help of artificial-intelligence systems, working under Strature's written method and the rulings of its principal. Every figure is traced to a named public source with its retrieval date. AI systems can make errors that our checks do not catch. The legal review of the Brief and of these terms was carried out by AI systems, not by a licensed lawyer.

8. No interest. Strature and its principal hold no position in, and receive no payment from, any company or fund named in this brief. No issuer, fund, government or project sponsor paid for, commissioned the content of, or reviewed the Brief. Strature's principal follows a written trading policy: neither he nor Strature takes a position in any company, fund or listed security named in a brief from the start of drafting until 30 days after its publication.

9. Exclusion of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strature, its principal, directors, officers, employees, contractors and agents (the "Strature Parties") have no liability of any kind to you or to anyone claiming through you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence and negligent misrepresentation), breach of statutory duty, equity or otherwise, for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from or connected with the Brief, its use, any reliance on it, or any error or omission in it.

10. Fallback cap. If, despite clause 9, a court or tribunal holds that any Strature Party is liable, the total aggregate liability of all Strature Parties for all claims arising from or connected with the Brief is limited to the fee you paid for this edition of the Brief or, if you paid no fee, one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD 100).

11. Indirect and consequential loss excluded. Without limiting clauses 9 and 10, no Strature Party is liable in any circumstances for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental, exemplary or punitive loss or damage, or for any loss of profit, revenue, return, opportunity, investment, capital, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, or any trading or investment loss, even if advised of the possibility of that loss.

12. What these terms do not exclude. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud. Where the law limits how far liability may be excluded, the exclusions apply to the maximum extent the law allows.

13. No indemnity. Strature gives no indemnity to you or to any other person in connection with the Brief.

14. Licence: internal use only. Strature grants the Purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Brief for the Purchaser's internal purposes, by the Purchaser's own personnel. You may not copy, publish, redistribute, resell, sublicense, post or share the Brief, or any substantial part of it, outside your organisation without Strature's written consent. Short quotations with attribution in internal documents are permitted. You may not use the Brief to train or feed an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system. Strature and its licensors keep all intellectual property in the Brief.

15. Other readers. The Brief is supplied to the Purchaser only. Strature accepts no duty of care or responsibility to any person who is not the Purchaser. If you share the Brief in breach of clause 14, you are responsible for that person's use of it.

16. Purchaser status. You confirm that you obtain the Brief for business purposes, on behalf of an organisation, and not as a consumer for personal, family or household purposes; that your organisation is not a foreign state or owned or controlled by one, and you do not act for one; that neither you, your organisation nor anyone who owns or controls it is named on a sanctions or terrorist list of Canada, the United Nations, the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Union, or acts for such a party; that your organisation is not located in, and you will not send or make the Brief available in, any country or region named on the request form; and that the information you gave on the request form is true. If any of these confirmations is untrue, the licence in clause 14 never took effect, and you must delete every copy of the Brief.

17. Corrections. Named parties and readers may send corrections to corrections@geopoliticalgps.com. We correct errors in the next edition and list them in its change log.

18. Severability. If any provision, or part of one, is held invalid or unenforceable, it is to be read down to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if that is not possible, severed. The rest of these terms continues in full force.

19. Entire agreement. These terms, together with the request form, are the entire agreement between you and Strature about the Brief. They replace any earlier statement, discussion or understanding. You confirm that you have not relied on any statement not set out in them. Any conflicting terms in your purchase order or procurement documents do not apply unless Strature has signed them.

20. Changes and waiver. Only a written document signed by Strature can change or waive these terms. A failure or delay in enforcing any term is not a waiver.

21. Governing law and jurisdiction. These terms and any dispute arising from or connected with the Brief, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. The courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto, have exclusive jurisdiction, and you submit to that jurisdiction.
